Classification by structure:

(1) the valve type: opening and closing parts (valve) driven by the stem along the centerline of the valve seat for lifting movement;

(2) the plug - type: the opening and closing parts (gate valve) driven by the stem along the vertical axis of the valve seat at the center of the movement;

(3) plug valve: open and close parts (cone plug or ball) around its own center line rotation;

(4) swing valve: open and close parts (valve flap) around the axis of rotation;

(5) the butterfly: the opening and closing member (Yuan Pan) around the valve seat of the fixed axis rotation;

(6): opening and closing sliding valve in the direction perpendicular to the channel.
